Waverly Utilities Announces New Hires and Promotions

WAVERLY, Iowa (August 5, 2024) – Waverly Utilities’ (WU) team has grown with new employees and promotions to several positions.
New hires Cody Metcalf and Matt Novak joined WU June 2024 as new employees. Metcalf is an apprentice lineman who recently graduated from Northwest Iowa Community College majoring in powerline technology. Novak is a seasoned system locator bringing his lead technician skills to WU.
Due to retirements, several employees have been promoted within Waverly Utilities.
Matt Kittleson, formally an apprentice and journey lineman for 10 years with WU, has been promoted to Supervisor, Construction & Line. Mike Armstrong has been promoted from Inventory & Planning Specialist to Inventory Supervisor with the utility.
Waverly Utilities is an award-winning national leader in electric reliability, safety and renewable energy. In 2016, WU also became a telecommunications utility offering gigabit speed internet, enhanced cable and digital telephone services.
